Online With Libraries
The 8.2 million dollar project is a public-private partnership that involves the U.S. Department of Commerce, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Rasmussen Foundation, and The Alaska State Library, a unit of the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. Video conferencing will also be part of the package. This will be an important tool in keeping rural Alaskans safe and healthy. Training from Fire Safety and medical experts will be available at a moment's notice.
Administrators for all the libraries involved met in Anchorage this week and left with a tailor made plan on how to bring OWL to their libraries. |
