Police Searching for West Anchorage Apartment Shooting SuspectANCHORAGE - The Anchorage Police Department is searching for a suspect who shot a man several times in a apartment at the 2800 Block of West International Airport Road. Police say a male victim who was badly injured was rushed to a local hospital. Dani Myren, APD spokeswoman, said officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 5 p.m. inside a basement-level apartment at the Alaska Landings complex. Reports say the apartment was full of bear mace and officers had to wear gas masks to investigate. Myren said the victim, who was not named, was shot three times in the torso. He was taken to the hospital in serious, possibly life-threatening condition, she said. Police have not released a description of the suspect and say it appears to be an isolated incident. |
