JUNEAU- You may not be familiar with House Bill 77 yet, but it's a bill garnering lots of attention from supporters and opponents.

The bill will be up for vote during this years session.

If passed, it would allow the State's Department of Natural Resources commissioner to have almost exclusive decision making powers.

It would also keep private individuals from attempting to hinder the use of state waters from businesses or municipalities.

More than 30 tribes offered up some of their resolutions to the bill today.

Says Rick Harrison, Vice Chair of the Chickaloon Council, "streamline process is....permitting processes in other areas."

The bill could also limit individual permits and impact the ability to apply water reservations

The tribal councils have a meeting scheduled next week with the DNR in Palmer.
