ANCHORAGE -- Prudential Jack White/Vista Real Estate in Anchorage is reminding all its licensees to be precautions when meeting clients outside of the office after one Realtor was allegedly accosted, Wednesday.

Andrea Gribbin says she went to meet a potential client at a home and once they were inside, another man - wearing a hoodie and a mask - barged in.

According to Gribbin, she initially thought it was a joke, but the men threatened they had weapons and ordered her to the floor.  "The man in the mask told the other man to 'pull out your piece' and he kept screaming at me to get down on the floor."

Gribbin refused to do as the men demanded.   "I grabbed my phone and I told them that my office knew where I was and that my partner was on the way," said Gribbin.  "I continued screaming and screaming."

Those screams were heard by neighbors who then called 911.  Soon after, both men ran from the home, crossed a parking lot and jumped a fence, according to Gribbin.

"This is a very dangerous profession at some times where we are meeting new clients... people that we don't know," said Gabe Stephan, broker at Prudential JWV.  "There are certain things that real estate professionals need to keep in mind."

The evening following the incident, Stephan sent an e-mail to all licensees at Prudential JWV reminding them to always have initial meetings with clients at the office, and to always let someone know where they are going to be when out showing properties.

Gribbin walked away from the incident unharmed but said she will take precaution in the future.

"I'm still shaken up," said Gribbin.  "I'm glad to be home with my children and I'm not going to get myself into this situation, hopefully, ever again."

The incident is being investigated by the Anchorage Police Department.
