ANCHORAGE- The Department of Veterans Affairs has been no stranger to scandal.

After allegations of fake waiting lists veterans were being put on to receive primary care, Department of Veteran Affairs Secretary, Eric Shinseki, resigned.

Among the supposed fake waiting lists, veterans who claimed to suffer from Sleep Apnea received top priority over amputees.

Since 2009, claims of veterans having Sleep Apnea has increased by 150 percent.

Numbers of reports of Veterans claiming to have Sleep Apnea could decline in the near future now that the VA is under review.
