JUNEAU- The Alaska Republican Party calls on Democratic Representative Harriet Drummond to apologize after allegedly calling small business owners and workers, union members, and fellow legislators a group of "corrupt bastards".

The apology was called for after drummond was seen holding a sign with the message outside of the Dena'ina Center Tuesday while Governor Parnell was signing Senate Bill 21 and House Bill 4.

Representative Drummond says she will not apologized, and that she feels it is the Republican party and the oil companies that are out of line.

Alaska Republican Party Chairman Peter Goldberg says this is not about oil production but about holding publicly elected officials to a high standard.

Off course she won't apologize. It's an oxymoron for them to do so.
