Retailer to Release Small Quantity of the Iphone 5
ANCHORAGE - The iphone 5; It's the latest must-have for the tech savvy. After being announced it sent apple's stock soaring. Despite the demand for the iphone 5 some local carriers are struggling to keep them on the shelves. Those on wall street this week are whistling a different tune
It seems the demand for the iphone 5 has left local retail stores in short supply. GCI will be releasing theirs tomorrow and says it will be first come first serve, as inventory arrives.
Iphone enthusiasts on the GCI network had to be registered to receive the latest edition of the phone. According to officials the store will not have more than a thousand phones as they release them tomorrow.
This week GCI's official twitter gave customers notice of the shortage. A spokesperson for the company David Morris says they will cancel their midnight opening events and expect an extremely limited quantity.
