ANCHORAGE,Ak-- Last week the Alaska Superior Court ruled to move forward the Setnet  ban initiative, and now the Kenai Peninsula Fishermen's Association is speaking out.

The proposed ballot initiative will ban setnet fishing in urban areas of the state.

If the initiative were to pass it would put nearly seven hundred businesses out of work.

The Kenai Peninsula Fisherman's Association says it's a kick in the teeth to an industry that's been shouldering the burden of conservation these past three years.
