Local store owners say this season has been better than the last and the shoppers are down right cheery.

"The mood here and the people here are definitely smiling and very positive...just happy to be around," said Mao Tosi manager at Northway Mall.

Tosi says the all "procrastinator are welcome to come out and shop."

For those who have yet to send their gifts UPS in Anchorage says you have until noon the Saturday before Christmas.

"if you missed that deadline we still have other options to get it there just after Christmas," said Muranda Johnson UPS store manager.
