Soldier Memorial: Ethan Martin
Tonight a family remembers their son and a unit remembers their brother.
Corporal Ethan Martin died earlier this month from injuries sustained when his unit came under attack in Afghanistan. Three other soldiers were also injured during that attack. Marrtin entered the army in 2009, attended basic training at Fort Knox, Ky and arrived at JBER in March of 2010. He was deployed to Afghanistan in march of 2010. At the memorial today Staff Sergeant Harboe spoke of what it means to loose a fellow comrade. "it's the same affect as loosing a family member. everybody gets to know everyone on a personal level, every one is close." Martin was just 22 years old. |
