BARROW, Ak--Middle School students from across Alaska recently participated in a week long exploring science camp.

The camp was held at Illisavik College where students worked with a UAF glaciologist.

They learned about their environment, plants and animals, and used ifferent technologies from an infrared thermometer to a GPS.

One of the big topics they discussed was permafrost.
