Summer Camp Counselor Dies After Swim

A 32-year-old California man working as a counselor at a summer camp for children has died following a late-night swim.

ANCHORAGE- A 32-year-old California man working as a counselor at a summer camp for children has died following a late-night swim.

Jorge Castaneda of Moreno Valley, Calif., had been swimming with other counselors from the Salvation Army King's Lake Camp on Monday evening at a lake in Wasilla.

Alaska State Troopers say the other counselors noticed he was having difficulties and got him to shore, where he collapsed.

Medics declared him dead.at the scene. His body has been sent to Anchorage for an autopsy, but troopers say foul play is not suspected.
