FAIRBANKS- Alaska State Troopers have identified a motorcyclist killed on the Taylor Highway as a 63-year-old man from Washington state.

Trooper spokeswoman Beth Ipsen says the motorcycle ridden by Roy Ovist of Lakewood, Wash., struck the front passenger side of a motorhome on an unpaved section of highway between Tok and Eagle.

It's unknown how fast Ovist was traveling. He was wearing a helmet and investigators don't believe alcohol was a factor.

The crash closed the highway for many hours Friday.
