Anchorage, AK - The typical thought process is that kids go home during the summer and a parent is there to feed them.

However, in Anchorage nearly half of all school school children face hunger issues.

Friday, Congressman Don Young visited a Childrens' Lunchbox location to see his Summer Meals Act of 2014 in action.

"This is an example of what can be done with young people, feed them and have some place where they can go safe and sound and actually keep growing during the summer, so when they get into the school year they won't be behind," said United States Congressman Don Young.

The Childrens' Lunchbox and the Food Bank of Alaska, along with the Boys and Girls Club are all part of this initiative.

The Fed is dumping illegals in Alaska. We have to stop this madness. Google this: NUMBERSUSA . Once you are registered (join us), go to the "action board"
