ANCHORAGE- Residents in some Western Alaska communities are cleaning up after a winter storm.

Some residents in Unalakleet were trapped in their homes by rising sea waters on Sunday. Several other buildings in the community were swamped.
Sections of beach were washed away by rising tides in Shaktoolik. In Kotlik, the storm damaged utility lines and pushed chunks of ice onto a road.
The National Weather Service says much of the severe weather had subsided by Monday morning and several flood warnings were canceled.
But winter weather warnings remain, including freezing rain advisories for the Kuskokwim Delta and Lower Kuskokwim Valley. There are still coastal flood warnings for the Western Arctic and the Northern Arctic coasts, the Chukchi Sea coast and parts of Norton Sound.
