ANCHORAGE, Ak-- At the beginning of the month the Anchorage School Board approved the final improvements to the West High School football stadium.

Last year West High School had their turf field installed after the Alaska State Legislature approved four capital budget appropriations.

This summer the entire stadium is being built and soon the West High School football team will be able play their first ever home game.

"Ecstatic, it's a place to set up home," Tim Davis, Head Football Coach, West High School.

Coach Tim Davis says having a place to call home is something these eagles have never had before.

"We've shared the Anchorage Football Stadium since I've been around playing and coaching," Davis.
