There are those talking  the talk about renewable energy and then there are those that walk the renewable energy walk Mike Craft is doing that with the Delta Wind Farm

 
In the construction business craft has been a Fairbanks resident for more than thirty years  building a small wind farm under Golden Valley Electric Association's sustainable natural alternative power program in Healy in 2007. 
 
They were the first turbines in service on the rail belt grid in a farm configuration.
since then two more turbines a 900 kw and a 100 kw turbine have been installed.
In the last six months the farm has supplied 1.3 million kilowatt hours to the interior.
    
Installing 16 additional turbines this summer will bring potential capacity to 25.6 megawatts and could be providing enough electricity for 6,000 average consumers at a 30% capacity factor. Crafts hopes to be  on the grid soon were delayed Tuesday when the Golden Valley Electric Association decided to partner only with the Eva Creek Wind Project
 
GVEC claims  power from that project would cost just over 9 cents per kilowatt hour versus 12 cents from Delta.  A price point Craft claims is suspect. and golden valley electric disputes.
