"Now is the time to prepare" that's what meteorologist Brad Maushart cautions the community after last weeks storm left thousands in the dark.
With the possibility of another huge storm taking out power again many anchorage residents headed to hardware stores to prepare for another big one.
Many have been stocking up on extra batteries and flashlights; making sure they have extra food and water on hand.
Chugach electric will be on standby with crews in case of extensive power outages.

DO WE HAVE ENOUGH GENERATORS TO REPLACE WHAT IS IN ANCHORAGE AS OF TODAY 9/15/12 IF THEY BLOW OUT AGAIN? IF NOT DO WE AT LEAST HAVE A PLAN IN ORDER SHOULD IT HAPPEN AGAIN!
