JUNEAU- U.S. Rep. Don Young has ended the latest quarter with over $500,000 available for his campaign.
Young reported bringing in about $63,000 between April 1 and June 30. His Federal Election Commission disclosure shows he ended the period with nearly $517,000 on hand.
He raised $32,000 from political action committees and about $31,000 from individuals during the latest period.
Young, who served as Alaska's lone U.S. House members since 1973, plans to seek a 22nd term next year. Another Republican who has made previous unsuccessful bids for the office, John R. Cox, also has announced his candidacy.
