A youth-only king salmon fishery is scheduled to take place in Seward, beginning Friday.

Alaska Department of Fish and Game officials say the three-day fishery will run through Sunday at the Seward Lagoon and the stream it goes to.

The fishery is open to people 15 years old or younger.

Officials say about 200 king salmon have been observed in the lagoon.

The catch limit is two king salmon.
