Alaska's unemployment rate stood at 5.9 percent last month, unchanged from April's revised rate and the lowest level in six years

JUNEAU - Alaska's unemployment rate stood at 5.9 percent last month, unchanged from April's revised rate and the lowest level in six years.
   
The rate, if it stands, that would be the lowest seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Alaska since April 2007. The state labor department cautioned large revisions are possible at the end of the year.
   
Unemployment stood at 7.1 percent in Alaska in May 2012.
   
The U.S. unemployment rate for last month was 7.6 percent.
