JUNEAU- Senate President Charlie Huggins says he'd like for the Legislature to adjourn early this year because of when Easter falls.

The 90-day session, which began Tuesday, is scheduled to run through April 20. That is Easter.
Huggins told reporters it would probably be better to be done before Good Friday, April 18.
He says Senate leaders will begin that conversation with their counterparts in the House and with the governor.
Whether it can be done remains to be seen.
Lawmakers in the past have taken time off around Easter.
The Legislature is facing a number of big issues this session, including plans for advancing a major gas pipeline project, education and state spending amid lower revenues.
Senate Resources chairwoman Cathy Giessel says she may schedule some bill hearings on Saturdays.
