FAIRBANKS- Gov. Sean Parnell has signed a bill aimed at combatting sex crimes in Alaska.
Parnell signed the bill Tuesday in Fairbanks at the start of the rural Providers Conference.

Parnell told the audience they are on the front lines of fighting sex crimes every day in Alaska.
He says the intent is to provide a safe place in Alaska.
The new law expands protections to victims and eliminates a statute of limitations for cases involving trafficking and child pornography, among other provisions.
