Tax savvy volunteers spent their Saturday helping families prepare their tax forms free of cost. A team of about 50 filed taxes for residents on a walk-in basis who weren’t stopped by the inches of snowfall.
The services saved Anchorage residents over $1 million in fees and delivered an estimated $6 million in refunds back to the local economy during last tax season alone.
