In just a matter of two days last week, the Anchorage Police Department and its law enforcement partners arrested 28 people in an operation called “Warrant Round-Up”. The operation is focused on locating wanted criminals with felony warrants. More than 100 officers from APD, Alaska State Troopers, the FBI, DEA, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Marshals Service worked together to make the operation a success. The funding for the operation was made possible by the "Project Safe Neighborhood Initiative", and APD says the community can expect to see more of these special operations in the future.
