Palmer, AK - A 16-year-old has been arrested for threatening to shoot a school earlier this month.

Authorities were notified of the threat on May 8th after a Palmer High School student received the threat via social media. The threat did not mention any school by name, but officers were sent to Palmer High, Middle, and every Palmer elementary school. State troopers also sent officers to Colony Middle and High School as a precaution. Wednesday night Palmer Police arrested the teen responsible. He was charged with one count of terroristic threatening and remanded to the MatSu Youth Facility.
