ANCHORAGE- Every year during the holiday season, you can count on at least one tradition to take place.

The tradition of traveling for the holidays brings busy traffic, impacting airports throughout the nation, even here in Anchorage.

The hassle of flying can bring a lot of stress to the average traveler. Whether you are heading home for Christmas, or simply traveling, it's going to be busy. According to one business owner, getting your boarding pass is top priority.

"It's scary, if you've gotta go. Because sometimes you can't get a ticket for a week this time of the year."

Even more frightening if you have to fly back just a few days before Christmas.

Despite the chaotic days leading up to the holidays, travelers are finding one thing they all have in common: getting to see their families.
