Pilot Killed in Crash Near SkwentnaCargo Plane Was Delivering Fuel
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Authorities say a pilot died when his cargo plane crashed near Skwentna.
The pilot, who was flying solo, has not been identified. The cargo plane contained fuel. It was flying Monday from Wasilla to the Nixon Fork Mine, about 30 miles northeast of McGrath. Officials called the Alaska National Guard to search for the plane when it never arrived. The plane was located Tuesday.
