ANCHORAGE - A small plane and its pilot are missing after leaving Soldotna for Palmer on Saturday.

Alaska State Troopers say Brendan Mattingly of Palmer should have arrived in Palmer in about an hour-and-a-half.

The Civil Air Patrol and the Alaska State Troopers are conducting a search for Mattingly and the green, white and red Super Cub he was flying.

Officials with the Civil Air Patrol informing launched planes from squadrons in Seward, Kenai and Birchwood, Monday, but bad weather kept the Anchorage squadron grounded.

Searchers are focusing on the Chickaloon Flats and the Soldotna Game Refuge between Soldotna and Cook Inlet.
