A California man has been sentenced to federal prison after trying to clear airport security in Juneau with a loaded gun. 42-year-old Brent Hansen was sentenced today to 34 months in prison following a 2017 incident at the Juneau International Airport. During a security check, TSA agents found a loaded glock in his backpack and later discovered that he was a convicted felon who had been charged with a slew of crimes, including burglary, and attempted grand theft.

    Following his time in jail, Hansen will serve three years of supervised release.
