Two people are homeless after a duplex caught fire in Fairbanks. This morning just before 10 a.m., the Fairbanks Emergency Communication Center received several 911 calls regarding a structure fire on 10th Avenue. Firefighters were able to put it out within 15 minutes, but there was significant damage.

    While the residents are in good health, two dogs died in the fire. The cause is still unknown at this time. If anyone has information on the fire you are asked to call the Fairbanks Fire Department at 450-6614.
