For several years, adults were able to celebrate Halloween on board the Alaska Railroad, but this year, kids were able to take part in the fun as well.
"We think trains are pretty cool, a lot of kids think so too," Meghan Clemens who is the Marketing Communications Manager for the Alaska Railroad said.
The first ever Kids Halloween Train traveled from Anchorage to Indian on Saturday and featured several activities.
"Along the way they're going to have a coloring contest, there's going to be Halloween Bingo, there's a Magician, all sorts of fun stuff, Halloween games on board," Clemens said.
Clemens said, they wanted to do something family friendly for Halloween and said the train rides sold out in about ten days.
"It's been exciting to see the enthusiasm from the community," Clemens said.
The Halloween Train joins the other Kids Trains the Alaska Railroad holds throughout the year.
"We're hoping that this new Halloween Train for Kids becomes an annual family favorite just like those," Clemens said.
