Ft. Wainwright, AK - Roughly 4,000 Fort Wainwright soldiers are packing up and marching south for one of the largest field training exercises in the world. The Stryker Brigade is already on their way to the National Training Center in California, putting every ounce of mental and physical training they’ve had into this exercise.
These soldiers will be on the ground for nearly two months, preparing for when the nation calls.
Officials say there’s no doubt that being arctic-tough means this team can take on anything, simulated or real. They’ve been through grueling training and maintained team morale, proving arctic forces are forces to be reckoned with.
