Anchorage, AK - Stop the Bleed is a national, grassroots effort to educate everyone in the case of trauma.
This week, Mayor Ethan Berkowitz designated May 23rd as Stop the Bleed day.
Knowing how to stop bleeding during trauma could save a limb, or even a life. Providence Trauma Nurse, Krista Ralls, says she won't stop teaching or working to educate people about Stop the Bleed, until every school and public building has a Stop the Bleed kit.
Stop the Bleed classes are free and hosted every other Saturday. Simply sign up here. You can also purchase Stop the Bleed kits for your home or office at Providence.
