HE FINISHED WITH 10 DOGS... AND HELD THE PODIUM TODAY .... WITH HIS LEAD DOGS NICKERS AND VELTVET ... BY HIS SIDE.
THE VETERAN MUSHER BEAT MARTIN BUSER'S RECORD 2002 FINISH BY ABOUT 3 HOURS.BAKER CROSSED THE FINISH LINE IN 8 DAYS 19 HOURS AND 46 MINUTES...AND 39 SECONDS..
THIS IS BAKER'S 15TH IDITAROD AND HIS FIRST EVER WIN..
AS MANY OF YOU KNOW ... THE CONDITIONS ON THE TRAIL THIS YEAR WAS CLEAR AND BLUE SKIES. .. WHICH LED TO MUSCLE CRAMPING IN A LOT OF THE ATHLETES.
MANY CHAMPIONS HAD TO DROP DOGS ALONG THE WAY .... BECAUSE OF MOTHER NATURE..
