2 Finalists Picked for Alaska Court of Appeals
The Alaska Judicial Council has recommended two finalists for a vacancy on the Alaska Court of Appeals.
JUNEAU- The Alaska Judicial Council has recommended two finalists for a vacancy on the Alaska Court of Appeals.
They are Susan M. Carney, a Harvard Law School graduate and current supervising attorney at the Office of Public Advocacy in Fairbanks, and Doug Kossler. Kossler is a graduate of the Temple University School of Law and supervising assistant attorney general at the Office of Special Prosecutions and Appeals in Anchorage.
The Alaska Judicial Council is charged with reviewing applicants for judicial vacancies and making recommendations to the governor, who makes the final choice.
The appeals court vacancy was created by the appointment of Judge Joel Bolger to the Alaska Supreme Court.
