Two men have been accused of stealing cash and electronics from dorm rooms during a March 2008 burglary spree at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

The suspects are 20-year-old Chase Powers of Bethel and 20-year-old Travis Pew, a former UAF basketball player.

UAF Police Chief Sean McGee says his agency filed a report with the district attorney's office in spring 2008. It's unclear why charges were held until now.

Neither man been registered as a UAF student since the spring of
2008; both face five counts of first-degree burglary.
