DELTA JUNCTION- A 31-year-old North Pole woman was seriously injured in a weekend all-terrain vehicle crash south of Delta Junction near Quartz Lake Campground.

Alaska State Troopers say Carla Converse was driving down a bank Saturday night when the ATV rolled and landed on her.

The crash occurred on a forestry road five miles off Quartz Lake Road.

A trooper arrived to find a family member administering CPR. Troopers say the family member had gotten off the ATV so Converse could maneuver down the bank.

The family member rolled the ATV off Converse. She was not wearing a helmet.

Emergency responders drove Converse about 80 miles north to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

She remained in critical condition Monday morning.
