ANCHORAGE- The operator of a wind farm near Delta Junction says a 10th turbine has been installed, but adds the facility has reached the 2-megawatt capacity limit it can sell to the Golden Valley Electric Association.
Alaska Environmental Power's managing partner Mike Craft says his organization has filed an informal complaint with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska against the Fairbanks-based rural utility.
AEP is seeking an agreement to sell 25 megawatts of power to GVEA. Craft says the Delta Wind Farm currently produces enough power for Delta Junction.
He says GVEA has not seriously negotiated recently.
GVEA has said it has never stopped negotiating, adding that Craft is unhappy with the price offered for electricity.
AEP also has filed a petition asking the regulatory commission to update its 31-year-old regulations.
