Fairbanks Borough Consider $56M in School Bonds

Officials in Fairbanks are considering whether to put $56 million in school construction bonds on the October ballot.

FAIRBANKS- Officials in Fairbanks are considering whether to put $56 million in school construction bonds on the October ballot.

The Fairbanks North Star Assembly will discuss the bond package with school officials at a work session Thursday evening. The assembly is expected to vote Aug. 8 whether to put the bonds on the ballot.

he bonds would be divided into two separate packages. One would be $37 million to build a new academic wing at Ryan Middle School. The other would be just over $19 million to would cover a number of other projects.
