Fairbanks City Hall to be renamed in Cole's honor

Fairbanks City Hall will have a new name.

FAIRBANKS- Fairbanks City Hall will have a new name.

The city council on Monday unanimously voted to rename it Patrick B. Cole City Hall in honor of the longtime public servant.
Cole worked for the city for more than 40 years. He was the city's chief of staff when he died of complications of a heart transplant in November at the age of 63.
Cole worked on city business from his Seattle hospital bed up to the day of his surgery.
