Man Dies in Snow Machine Crash

Troopers say Karl Martin Jr., 42, lost control of his snowmachine and hit a utility pole.

Troopers say a man lost control of his snowmachine around 4 p.m. yesterday and struck a utility pole.
Karl L. Martin Jr., 42, was riding a 1998 Ski-doo 670 Summit X in Tanacross Village, and was transported to Tok Medical Clinic by Tok Emergency Medical service in critical condition.
Troopers say he was then medivaced to Alaska Native Medical Center where he died from his injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
