FAIRBANKS- A Fairbanks man has died of injuries suffered May 31 in a crash of an all-terrain vehicle.

Matthew David Freedle died Saturday.

He was found unconscious and trapped under an ATV that crashed near the end of south Cushman Street.

There were no witnesses. Freedle was not wearing a helmet.

Fairbanks police say Freedle may have been straddling the asphalt and the dirt shoulder when he lost control and the four-wheeler rolled onto him.

Freedle was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and flowed to intensive care at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, where he died.

Freedle was engaged to be married and was the father of sons age 15 and 18 months.
