More than 35,000 people in Alaska's rural villages will experience internet outages and dropped long distance calls starting Wednesday.
A 'zombie' satellite has gone off course and is interfering with signals, according to GCI spokeperson Davis Morris.
The outages are expected to last anywhere from 90 mintues to 5 hours, starting Wednesday (8/11) through Saturday (8/14).
Morris says residents will still be able to dial long distance this week, by dialing 1-888-991-8199, without any interference.
