ANCHORAGE- Alaska residents seeking assistance after spring flooding have until July 30 to submit their applications.


The state began accepting applications Monday, and said temporary disaster assistance centers will open this week in Fort Yukon and Circle.


Gov. Sean Parnell issued a state declaration disaster for several areas affected by flooding, including Eagle, Circle, Fort Yukon, Hughes, Galena and Sourdough.


Residents can also apply online. Questions can be directed to 1-855-455-7131.
