Students step up to fight teen drug use

A recent survey shows one third of high school seniors in the U.S. are reporting use of drugs in the last year.

ANCHORAGE- A recent survey shows one third of high school seniors in the U.S. are reporting use of drugs in the last year. 

 
With that information, one school in the interior is taking steps to keep teens away from drugs.
 
Members of the Lathrop High School chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) are out to shatter the myths of drug use.
 
The group has been working hard since he beginnin of the year to help other students see there are other possibilities out there besides drug use.
 
An upcoming rally is part of a nation wide effort to celebrate National Drug Facts Week.

Pier pressure directed me to drugs. I hung out with people who would call me a whose if I didn't take a puff or hit of some pill or other, but I have come a long way today and recognize I am in control of my life and I must make right choices for ME.
