FAIRBANKS - Forecasters predict Fairbanks will see the coldest temperatures of the season this week with slightly warmer weather arriving in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The National Weather Service is projecting lows as cold as minus 35 degrees both Monday and Tuesday nights at Fairbanks International Airport. The Fairbanks area has hit the minus 20 milestone eight times so far in November, with low temperatures of 27 below zero at the airport on Nov. 13 and Nov. 16. Temperatures for Thanksgiving are expected to be in the 20-below range. |
