FAIRBANKS- Alaska State Troopers are investigating the death of a Kasilof man found dead along the Taylor Highway.

The body of 61-year-old Douglas Whiteside was found inside a van at Mile 90.2.
The Taylor Highway connects Eagle with the Alaska Highway near Tok.
Whiteside's body was found Aug. 30. Spokeswoman Megan Peters says there was no sign of foul play.
She says troopers at first suspected Whiteside died of carbon monoxide poisoning. However, a propane stove in the van had not been turned on.
