An Anchorage man turns himself in for allegedly distributing child pornography. David Canfield, 49, had an outstanding $5000 arrest warrant. APD Cyber Crimes Detectives began investigating the case in September of 2011 when they received illicit images depicting the sexual abuse of young children from Canfield.
Members of the Alaska ICAC task force and APD Detectives served a search warrant on Canfield's South Anchorage residence where computers, digital media and printed material were seized. Forensic examinations of these devices revealed hundreds of images and videos that depicted the sexual abuse of young children. Anyone with additional information should contact the Anchorage Police Department at 786-8900.
