ANCHORAGE - In preparation for Father's day staff on JBER hosted a group of children at their pottery studio.

Manager of the Pick and Paint, Annette Reed says she's seen a lot of families come through the studio to create gifts for their fathers.

Ten year old Milo Rusnak says he's making his dad a special treat for the big day and he's using an array of colors that he thinks his father will love. Unfortunetly Milo's dad won't be able to receive the gift on sunday.

This is like his third or second time being deployed so I wanted to create something for him," said Rusnak.

Reed says the kids pick their pieces and then paint them once they are dry the pieces are fired up and glazed.

Even though milo says his dad wont receive the gift right away he will save "Billy Bob Rex" for him until he comes home from deployment.
